How This All Began

Seven years ago, a tiny, fluffy baby squirrel named Peanut entered our lives, and everything changed. This little ball of energy quickly became a symbol of resilience and hope, capturing hearts and inspiring millions. Despite being reintroduced to the wild, Peanut faced adversity, losing half of his tail in a brutal attack. Lacking the instincts needed to survive on his own, he couldn’t return to the wild—so he became a cherished indoor companion instead.

What followed was nothing short of remarkable. Peanut became the first squirrel to amass over a million followers on TikTok, and later, over two million—amassing a combined social media following of more than 3 million. It was through this incredible outpouring of love and support from our community that we were able to take the next step in our mission: founding P’nuts Freedom Farm.

Our sanctuary is a place where animals—many neglected or homeless—receive a second chance at life. Here, they find healing, love, and care that allow them to live out their days in peace.
